Sometimes in the course of the day we are in many tasks and in the end we realize that we have not been able to advance the pending issues as we would like. In fact, we are immer sed in our own routine that we do not realize that we value that scarce and precious resource as is TIME.
Now, how much do people know to take advantage of it? Unlike other things, time never comes back; we can recover money, objects, etc. But time does not pass, and there is no opportunity to go back.
That is why we must have the ability to properly organize our time in the various spaces where we develop:
ORGANIZE: Learn to differentiate how you want to manage your time, and for that, the one who has the last word is you. Manage your time according to your personal goals and from there mark the pattern, trying to fulfill your personal commitments.
ENUMERATE: List all the pending issues that you have to do, consider all the ideas that come to your mind.
CLASSIFY: Once you have listed the pending issues, you must classify them according to the areas of your life (family, work, studies, etc.) because each area has to have its attention and space, you can’t dedicate more to one to another.
PRIORITIZE: When we want to make better use of the time, it’s important that you know how to prioritize what is really IMPORTANT to do; there are times when we waste time in an unprofitable way, performing tasks that are not fundamental and could even be performed by other people.
MAKE A WORK PLAN: Try to have the concrete steps of what you want to do in your day to day; this is the meaning of a work plan. There you will see what activities require your direct attention and in which you could request the support of other people.
ESTABLISH GOALS: Define what you want to achieve and learn to set a reasonable time. For example:
· Finish inventory within 3 days maximum on (day), (month), (year)
· Organize my library within 1 week maximum on (day), (month), (year)
· Finish reporting some activity in 2 days…etc.
DELEGATE: While we would like to be willing to do all things ourselves, sometimes it’s not possible. Learn how to delegate some tasks in your home, work, studies, etc., that make easier the management of your time, perhaps with a symbolic payment some family or friendship can help you perform some tasks. In this way, you not only benefit, but also help other people.
BE PRACTICAL: Learn how to be practical in your work, for example, if your job is to make technical reports, letters, documents, etc. Learn how to use unique design templates, this will save you a lot of time because you will not have to design formats at any time, but you will have the armed structure ready to update you. Dedicate your energies to the important thing.
AVOID DISTRACTION: If you want to be a person who manages your time efficiently, avoid the distraction, for example, in the office when using social networks, chat, among others. Try to focus on your goal and dedicate yourself to it first.
EVALUATE YOUR PROGRESS: Try to prepare a work schedule where you can evaluate your progress. If you consider it, you can type it in an Excel template and have it available somewhere in your home, office, study room, or others.ç
Remember, time is not only what the clock marks or what the calendar indicates, it is related to our very essence as human beings, as long as we have life we will have capacity to recognize it, value it and, above all, take advantage of it.
Time as time never comes back, every morning when we wake up life gives us one more day in this world, and it’s up to you to give it the respective importance.
